With the best possible data, help Counter Terrorism Policing protect the UK

Behind the Counter Terrorism (CT) Policing Network is a team of finance experts whose skills are essential to its success. Every day, they help CT police to make informed decisions so they can perform at their best. We now need a Finance Analytics & Reporting Lead to join these professionals in a brand new role. It’s your chance to improve the way we gather and present data, making a lasting impact on the way we work.

Joining the National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ), you’ll be part of our Strategic Finance function, supporting the development of data management across the HQ. The goal is to improve the availability and quality of data available to our teams, so they have the best insight to inform their decisions. As well as Finance, you’ll work with HR and Performance teams to integrate data collection processes across the national CT network. Through your leadership of the Management Accounting and Reporting Team, you will review and develop financial reporting products to make sure they’re meeting stakeholder needs. With responsibility for developing budget and cost models to support the strategic planning process too, you’ll have an opportunity to influence the prioritisation of resources across the Network to support operational requirements.

An experienced professional who can develop analytics solutions, you’ve supported programmes of change and innovation. You have a background in financial management including planning and reporting, budgeting and forecasting and financial modelling. CCAB membership (or equivalent) would be an advantage, along with a good grasp of visualization and blending tools.

Join us, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of people from policing, security services and the Home Office. You’ll also get to shape the direction of the NCTPHQ and develop your technical skills. With benefits that include a Civil Service pension, there’s every reason to step up and support frontline Counter Terrorism policing.

To apply, please visit our website to download a role specific information pack. Applications will be via a detailed CV, Personal Statement with no more than 2 pages of content and online application form.

Completed applications must be returned by 29th November 2019.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today’s complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London’s communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
