The BCU Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator will work to coordinate and support all operational learning and assessment across the recruit police officer’s probationer pathway. They will also quality assure the operational policing elements of the learning outcomes within the recruit police officer’s competency portfolio. 

The post holders will underpin the recruit police officer journey by providing support to the BCU L&D team and the recruit police officer, managing, coordinating and evaluating key activities such as BCU induction, operational learning programme, and recruit police officer movements across rotational elements of the learning experience, assessment and feedback.

The BCU L&D Coordinators will be the main point of contact for all recruit police officers on their BCUs relating to their learning programme and will also be required to support the BCU L&D Sergeant’s work on the BCU.

  • Planning training inputs for familiarisation week.
  • Liaising with HEI’s (University) and Training centres.
  • Liaising with University police teams.
  • Supporting recruit police officers for smooth transition to BCU life.
  • Carms and Protected learning time plotting, allocation and compliance.

Essential Criteria

Excellent Communication skills

Good IT Skills - Excel
