Job Title: Accreditation Regulator and Trainer

Salary: £35,156 to £42,479 plus £2,623 location allowance. You will receive £35,156 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £42,479 will be via incremental progression.

Location: Empress State Building

The Trainer and Accreditation regulator will develop and deliver Terrorist Financing investigation courses to the diverse range of National and International CT (Counter Terrorism) partners and stakeholders. They will also develop and enhance the extensive network of trusted contacts within both private and public sectors.

The training and engagement unit is an integral part of the NTFIU and the CTFI network. With the implementation of the new CT accreditation process the role holder will be responsible for assessing and reviewing the accreditation of financial investigators across the CT network. They will be responsible for delivering on national TF strategy and ensuring the operational success of the unit by engagement with key stakeholders and private industry. They will have responsibility for the delivery of products to ensure that national network is sighted on relevant professional updates.

They will be responsible for the training, accreditation and regulation of the Counter Terrorism Financial Investigators (CTFI) & Counter Terrorism Financial Intelligence Officers (CTFIO) network across England and Wales as underpinned by the Terrorism Act 2000 (TACT) and Anti-Terrorism Crime and Security Act 2001 (ATCSA) as amended by the Criminal Finance Act 2017

The role-holder will be responsible for the delivery of out- reach programmes on an internal and external level and the delivery of training programmes on behalf of NTFIU both in the UK and abroad and will be expected to travel both within the UK and abroad.

Essential Criteria:

  • Accredited Financial Investigator
  • Knowledge and experience of court processes in both the civil and criminal arena
  • Knowledge and experience of CT financial investigation and civil legislation
  • Operational experience of CT financial intelligence and of complex financial investigations
  • A good understanding of different units across CT command
  • Willingness to travel both in the UK and abroad
  • DV STRAP

 

 Desirable Criteria:

  • Accredited trainer
  • Accredited regulator
  • Experience of delivering presentations and/or training
