DPS Health Check Requirements

During the recruitment process of Officers and staff to PaDP, the Professional Standards Unit request Risk Assessments to be carried out on all applicants. This consists of an in-depth Police Service History check including Misconduct/Public Complaint checks and DPS Intelligence Bureau checks. By applying for a role with PaDP you consent for these checks to take place.

Any adverse information highlighted by DPS Intelligence Bureau will be forwarded directly to a designated PaDP Superintendent for review. The Superintendent will assess the information to decide if it could potentially have an adverse effect on the Command and will therefore decide if the relevant application should progress or be withdrawn.
