Job Title: Met Prosecutions Crime – Specialist Crime Trials Team Administrator

Salary: The starting salary is £33,348, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.

The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £32,639 Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting time to be working as a Trials Team Administrator for the Metropolitan Police Service. In addition to large-scale transformation, there's the unique and ever-evolving challenge of policing London.

 

Met Prosecution Specialist Crime Team are located at the Central Criminal Crown Court and co-located within the Ministry of Justice at Petty France.

The successful candidate will be part of a small Police Liaison Team, working alongside the Crown Prosecution Service, His Majesty Court Service and Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Units.

  • Liaising with and partnership working between Crown Prosecution Lawyers and Specialist Crime Teams Homicide Investigation Teams.
  • Directing advanced and overnight Crown Court warnings via email and telephone for Specialist Crime Officers.
  • To deliver and maintain administrative duties within the Metropolitan Police Room, within the Central Criminal Crown Court.

Additional Information

The role is office based, full time, Monday to Friday, with an expectation that the successful role holder will work a 36-hour week.

The Specialist Crime Trials Team provides a vital administrative role within the Metropolitan Police Service, in-particular the service they deliver at the Central Criminal Crown Court in support of Homicide officers coupled with the work carried out in conjunction with the Crown Prosecution Service. In doing so, aiming to achieve the best criminal justice outcome through partnership working, in support of victim and witness of crime.
