Job Title: HR Operations Administrator and Executive Support

Salary: £28,511 to £30,504 plus a Location allowance of £1,721. You will receive £28,511 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £30,504 will be via incremental progression.

The Human Resources department is part of the Met HQ portfolio and provides the services, policies and frameworks that underpin the delivery of the People Strategy. The Resource Management Office sits under HR Operations Hub and runs the HR governance framework, business planning and resource management for HR.

 This role is required to enable the Resource Management Office (RMO) to support the HR function and Senior Leaders within HR. The SLT Support Administrator will be providing crucial secretariat support to Senior Leaders, the Governance Lead, the Resourcing Lead and other HR Projects. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the high-profile department runs efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

The role holder will be supporting the delivery of HR projects as set out in the People Strategy which are led by 5 Centers of Expertise as the service leads for Policy & Reward Hub, Resourcing Hub, Talent & Inclusion Hub, Service Delivery Hub and HR Operations Hub. Activities will include, supporting logistics of meetings which comprise of scheduling meetings, circulating papers and tracking actions as well as attending meetings and taking minutes. The also role requires:

  • Organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise, Accuracy and attention to details
  • Good written and Verbal Communication
  • High interpersonal skills and team-working skills

A main part of the role will be providing high level administration support for business-as-usual work within the RMO, including raising purchase orders and dealing with associated invoice queries, supporting governance meetings and undertaking logistical tasks such as diary management and mailboxes. There is also an element of project support dependent on the demands of current projects.

To support the work of the RMO, the role holder will be engaging with senior colleagues to deliver tasks commissioned.

Essential Criteria:

  • IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint for daily activities
